I'm not sure about you, but sometime i do have some rushing moment where i need to do a quick card/ tag for a birthday event.
Here is my favorite stamp from Unity.

I stamp up the image on the Kraft paper, and i color it with color pencil, decorate with washi tape, twine, Stickles or glitter glue, and emboss a Birthday wishes sentiment from Unity Hashtag Kit.

The image makes my tag looks pretty cute and awesome, i could just tie with my paper bag and it's ready for party.

I just love Unity Stamps for their high quality stamps and beautiful images.
Do remember to come back tomorrow as i will share another project by using another kit.
See you.

Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenge #37: Song Inspiration

Hi peeps, happy weekend to you!
Today, i'm gonna share with you my new project for Open Minded Crafting Fun Challenge and today's challenge is Song Inspiration!

I have make a mixed media tag by using image sponsor by Sentimental Susan, Tiger Cub.
I colored the image with my Fine Color Marker on another card, then i cut out the image and stick on the tag with 3D form sticker to create a layer on the tag.

Here is the closer look at the image and the tag.
I colored my tag with Distress Ink, and my initiate idea is to create a night scene on the tag.
After applying few colors on the tag, i actually love this color and decided to leave it as my final background color.
To enhance the evening scene on the tag, i added some silver Stickers to create a "start light" feel on my tag.

Last, i put on the sentiment from Unity Stamp, All about hope Kit
The whole tag idea is inspired by the song Survivor- Eye Of the Tiger.
If you never heard before, do click on below video to enjoy.

Growing in Unity - Day 5

Hi hi, welcome back for my last day as GIU girl this week. Have you following my post since Monday? If no, you can start from Day 1 and do leave comment on each post for a chance to win 2 Itty Bitty Stamp by end of the week.

As today is the last day as GIU girl for me, i would like to share a mixed media tag for Christmas.
This is the first time i'm using Suzi Blu stamp on my artwork, and i'm pretty nervous as i never try on her stamps before.
When i took out the tag (which is the free gift from Unity order), my mind just kept thinking about this stamp.
Did i mentioned how i get this stamp from Unity? I actually got it from one of the grab bag which i purchased last year. This stamp has been sitting in my stamp folder for a year, and finally i used it for this project.
To cut the story short, I've a simple tutorial show as below.

First, i colored my tag with Tim Holtz Distress Paint: Picked Raspberry and China Blue.
The fun of distress paint is it will react to water and you can blend the color easily when it is wet! If you would like to learn more about distress paint, you can check out the video here.
This is how my tag look like after it is dry.

Next, i pick up 2 snowflake stamps from Snowflake kisses kit which i share in my yesterday's post. I stamp up both stamps randomly on my tag with Brilliance Moonlight White stamp pad.

Next, i stamp up the Boy Exclusive stamp on a white card stock, colored it and cut out the image as below.

Last, I stamp a Christmas sentiment from Everything Christmas sentiment kit on a piece of card stock. I roll up the head and bottom of the card stock to make it look like a scroll.
Then,  i add in establishments like paper flowers and ribbon to complete my tag.

Tell your a good news, Unity is having a Suzi Blu Sales this weekend, grab all the Suzi Blu stamps now, it's 50% off this week!

Do you like my tag today?
Kindly share your thought with me, i will pick a lucky person tomorrow and he/she will have a chance to get 2 Itty Bitty stamp for free!
Thanks for reading my post and leaving comments throughout these 5 days, do keep an eye tomorrow as i will announce the winner by tomorrow.
Happy Halloween!

FWF - May PEACE be with you

Hi friends, it's Friday today, and i'm so excited to share with your my tag for my "angel". :)

In order to create the background, i'm playing along with these 2 color Distress Paint. I have learn the technique from this video.

An this is how it looks like after drying.

To create the motive background, i'm stamping the image with emboss effect from Warm wishes Kit

Then, I colored the Arianna girl with Fine Color Marker and decorate the tag with some Prima Flowers and metal Charms.

To make the Arianna Girl look special, i added some Stickles on the dress, and i do like the outcome of the "blink" effect on her dress.

That's all for today post, happy weekend!

Friday Friends with Flair Challenge - 01 Aug #2

Hi everybody, it's me again for today FWF challenge.
As mentioned via previous post, i will have 2 post to share for today FWF challenge!
And here is my second post, which is a tag for another friend of mine's birthday.

This tag is very simple and quick.
This is pretty good when you are in rush to create a card or tag for someone.
This is how the tag look like.

The stamp I used is from Unity Wild giraffe Stamp
I color the background with some color spray, and it's pretty fast without any mess.
Then, i decorate the card with the punched border and some washi tape, and i stamp up the birthday sentiment from Unity Party-all-day kit to complete the tag.
Last, i tie up the ribbon, and the tag is ready to give!

Here is another closer look for the tag.
Hope you enjoy the little tag that I've make.
Happy Weekend. :)

Emboss powder

For this post, I'm going to show some cards/ design using emboss powder.

First, just to introduce what kind of material that I used to create above card. From the first picture, there are Doily stamp from Hero Arts, white color emboss powder, and VersaMark watermark stamp pad.

To begin, you have to stamp the doily with VersaMark stamp pad, and u stamp on a colour card stock or paper. Then, you have to pour the white colour emboss powder on top of the pattern before it dries out. After this, you may shrink out the excess powder, and used the heat gun/tool to heat up the powder. You can see the powder change the color slowly, and just a hint to you that you might not place the heat tool directly to one spot on your image, the result might not as what you will see as above. You have to move your heat tool around your pattern, and leave it for few seconds before it's too hot. When the powder started to change color, the emboss is complete.

This is another card I'm doing with emboss powder. This round, I'm using the color stamp pad with transparent emboss powder. The steps of doing the emboss effect is same as above, and it's very nice if you have plenty of colour stamp pad and would like to have emboss effect on certain images. Do take note that the result might not as what you see if you used the fast dry ink pad. The idea for emboss powder is mean for ink pad that dry out slowly.

Here is another tag that I do using the emboss powder and distress stain, adding some blings, it look gorgeous.

So, why don't you start to make one for yourself today?
